President’s Report, A Mid-Year Update from the NMA
Dear NMA Members,
As we move into the second half of 2026, I'd like to thank each of you for your support of the Nebraska Mortgage Association. It has been an honor to serve as your President, and I am excited to share a few updates on the work of our Association.
Our Fall Conference is quickly approaching and promises to be an outstanding opportunity to learn, connect, and engage with mortgage professionals from across Nebraska. I am especially excited to welcome Fred Hoiberg as our keynote speaker. Fred's experiences as a leader, coach, and builder of successful teams offer insights that extend far beyond the basketball court. His perspective on leadership, resilience, and adapting to change will provide valuable takeaways for all of us, both professionally and personally.
We also invite our business partners to consider our sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities. Our sponsors and exhibitors play a critical role in the success of the conference while gaining meaningful exposure to mortgage professionals and industry leaders throughout the state. If your organization is looking to increase visibility, strengthen relationships, and demonstrate support for Nebraska's mortgage industry, I encourage you to explore the opportunities available.
While looking ahead to the Fall Conference, I would also like to reflect on a few highlights from the year so far.
Our annual Charity Golf Outing at The Players Club at Deer Creek was a tremendous success, bringing together members and industry partners for a day of networking, fellowship, and fundraising. Thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, and contributed to the event.
This year, the Association selected the Home Buyers Assistance Foundation as our new charitable partner. The Foundation provides down payment and closing cost assistance to qualifying first-time homebuyers, helping Nebraska families achieve the dream of homeownership. As mortgage professionals, we felt this was a meaningful way to support a cause that directly aligns with our industry's mission and creates lasting impact within the communities we serve.
The Board is also excited to present Level Up Live this fall, a professional development event focused on leadership growth, personal development, and practical strategies for success. We believe attendees will find tremendous value in the ideas, conversations, and connections that emerge from this unique program.
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, thank you for your membership, engagement, and continued support of the Nebraska Mortgage Association. Our Association continues to thrive because of members like you who invest their time, expertise, and energy in strengthening our profession.
